The flow of donations large and small has brought the Lake Links Trail to life

Updated: 21 hours ago

Many know that the Lake Links Trail is advancing around White Bear Lake because of extensive community support and state legislature grants of almost $10 million to date. But did you know about the ever-growing list of inspired trail enhancements made possible by corporate, personal, and legacy donations?

  • Covered bridge over Depot Creek in Mahtomedi

  • Thane and Blanche Hawkins trail section in Mahtomedi/Dellwood

  • Saputo Station shelter at Bellaire Beach Park

  • Bike repair stations in Veterans Park in Mahtomedi and at Bellaire Beach

  • Benches along South Shore Boulevard courtesy of Bellaire Community Club

  • Memorial bench at Neville Nature Area in Mahtomedi

  • Plantings along the trail at Streetcar Park in Mahtomedi

  • Bike racks in Streetcar Park in Mahtomedi

  • Dog waste bag dispensing stations at Bellaire Beach and Lions Park

  • Trailhead information kiosk, picnic benches, portable restroom, invasives removal, and new trees along the trail at Streetcar Park in Mahtomedi.

Every enhancement, large and small, is a community asset. Each has added to the character and beauty of the trail. Each elevates the experience of all trail users as they move around the lake and along segments of the trail in and between lakeside communities.

Thank you to everyone who has embraced the trail by giving their time and money.

Lake Links is a 501(c3) non-profit organization. If you would like to be a part of advancing the enhancements of the trail, please do so by making a donation, large or small, through the Greater White Bear Lake Community Foundation’s donation page for the Lake Links Trail.
