With the Lake Links Trail literally just outside its door, it was only a matter of time before Mahtomedi Community Education made the connection. “Women Who Walk” is a new, once-a-week opportunity for women of all ages to join together for outdoor exercise in a social setting. The group meets Thursday mornings at 9 am at the District Education Center for walks along the Lake Links Trail, with distances from 1 to 2+ miles available depending on interest.
The group began in late October and will continue through December 15. Walks will begin again in January after a holiday break. For more information and to register for this free opportunity, see Women Who Walk.
If you're interested but a Thursday morning walk doesn’t work for you, contact sammy.wallace@isd832.net to explore options for starting a group at a time that better suits your schedule.
