Streetcar Park Revitalization Project

Cindy Rasmussen knew the overgrown park along the Lake Links Trail could be a special place, so she rolled up her sleeves. What she was about to find out is that others who walked by the park were thinking the same thing.  Over the next few weeks, people who passed by Cindy working in Streetcar Park went home to grab some garden tools and joined her. Now, two years later, this grassroots project to transform a historic park along Depot Creek has the volunteer and funding support of the City of Mahtomedi, Lake Links Association, Mahtomedi Garden Club and a growing number of residents.   The city will be also supporting the project financially with screening fence and concrete pad/walkway for the Portapotti facility and a drinking fountain at the picnic area.

 

We are so close. The Streetcar Park project is in its home stretch.
